Toughbook problems

we have a couple of Toughbook cf-29s where the keyboard and mouse randomly lock up. This happens even while docked. Does anyone have any ideas?

Heat? Bad fans? Have you heard any fan noises coming from them, and have you checked the temperatures in the BIOS settings?

locked up" as in the three-finger salute (CTRL+ALT+DEL) does not work? When you reboot,go into BIOS and have a look at CPU temp. After that I would have a look in Event Viewer.
