I am working on a financial report and have several groups, but would like to take a total from one column and use that as a start for another column. IE

Fund 1000 this yr next year year 2
col 1 col 2 col 3
Beginning balance 1000 6000 7000
revenue 10000 11000
expenses 5000 10000
ending balance 6000 7000

revenue and expenses are groups from detail records. You will see the 6000 gets carried foward from the ending of one year to the beginning of the next year, etc.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Consider using subreports. Alternatively, get the data through a View or Stored Procedure for presentation (perhaps via a CrossTab).

Thanks for the suggestions. I have not worked a lot with sub reports, but would you suggest column 1 as a sub report, 2 as a sub report, etc? How do i get the ending balance of 6000 in column 1 to then beginning balance of column 2, etc?

Thanks
