Hi Guys,

I cant find my other post on this. I wil try again.
I have a TOSHIBA Tecra 8000 and I installed XP pro on it.
works great except the display is small. XP does see the video card but says the display is default?

I tried searching for display drivers with no luck.
Am I on the right track ? thinking it's display drivers ?

Steve

Check Toshiba. You likely are on the right track. The native drivers in an XP distribution CD are now five or more years old.

If no joy from Toshiba, use Device Manager to identify the OEM for the display adapter itself, and try their website.

Check WindowsUpdate. I have found that they will have some hardware drivers for monitors, graphics cards other things. That might help.

Thank you guys.
I went to Toshiba web site and got the latest driver for XP. It seems the windows update one worked but not correct. anyway it works now and thanks for your help.

Your are very welcome.
I spent a day scratching my head over my wife's new widescreen Dell notebook with similar issues for the display, the two lan adapters, and other issues.

Best wishes,
Bill Castner
