toshiba laptop port replicator shuts off power after 30 minutes

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 attached to a port replicator. After being on with power plugged into the port replicator and no battery, the power dies and the lapto shuts off immediately.

If I have a battery in the laptop at the same time the power never dies. If I have a power cord plugged into the laptop directly without using the port replicator, it never loses power. Is there some sort of port replicator settings tool to fix this or could it be a hardware issue?

Look in your "power" settings. There is one set for AC use, and another set for battery use.
