I have a user with a tosh sat pro 6000 laptop which randomnly freezes or the screen goes black / grey or with lines on it etc. (usually when it's unattended) and has to be forceably switched off. I have just about ruled out hibernation / standby problems but am not 100% sure.
The bigger problem I have is that 9 times out of 10, the laptop refuses to be booted back up again. The on light comes on but there's no disk activity. I have tried booting without the battery, CD and NIC but it makes no difference. It has the latest BIOS on it. It will eventually come back up but how long this takes appears to be random with anywhere from immediately to 1 day. As there's no other activity on the laptop I can't boot from floppy, CD or USB either.
Anyone got any suggestions? ....Please.
