Top Tip. W2K Domain Controllers not replicating properly??

After much head scratching of why this wasn't working and people complaining that they couldn't log on (newly created accounts).

Read through shed loads of documents that didn't come up with the answer, I then spotted that svr2's time was a few minutes out from svr1's, I changed the time so that they7 matched and hey presto the Active Directory replicated.

It seems that the times can be slightly out much if they go out too much then the replication fails with an RPC error.

I hope this helps somebody out of a similair sticky situation.
 
in addition, use command

net time \\servername /set /yes

to sync the time
 
This is the EXACT problem I had this morning. I have not yet found a way to keep my 3 controllers time in sync. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this info. It saved me hours of frustration.
