I was wondering if this was possible in Bobjects or will I have to go to SQL.

What I want is a measure that has total quantity of the top 3 styles by category

Examaple

Cat Style Qty
Coat 12345 10
Coat 12334 12
Coat 14558 10
Coat 15523 9
Hat 23342 30
Hat 44565 30
Hat 11552 10
Hat 11452 8
Hat 15586 5

So if I use the ranking button I can see that

Coat is 32
Hat is 70
However I get the styles. Is there any way you can create this as a measure?

I have tried this but I seem to get error

=Sum ([Quantity]) Where (Rank([Quantity];[Style];[Cat]) < 4

This cannot be created as a measure.

However, you could section the report by category and the rank based on the style. If you use the client, you can hide styles using the outline function.

In WebI, you don't really have a good solution since you need the item in the block in order to rank on it.
