Have you tried using System Restore to go back a few days to where it worked?

Maybe it is something like this.

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 307028
The Folders Bar in Windows Explorer Does Not Contain Any Icons

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

If they don't work you could try repairing windows itself by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.

I'll give em a shot tommorow and post the results Thanks, PAUL

Sounds to me like they've put Internet Explorer in full screen mode.

Press F11 and it will toggle back to the regular view.

Presto!
