Hi

I am trying to create a standard template for Word to start with. I have arranged all the icons on the toolbars to be where I want them and now want to deploy this standard across other PC's. Can someone please enlighten me as to what I need to save and where??

Thanks

The answer my friend is......

that you can do one of two things:

Copy the Toolbar to Normal.dot File
Open the template with the custom toolbar. Go to Tools, Templates And Add-ins. Click Organizer, and then the Toolbars tab. The Organizer will have two windows. Normal.dot and the template you opened.
On the custom template side, click to select the customized toolbar (or toolbars) you want to copy to Normal.dot, and then click the Copy button. Click Close.

Load the Template Globally
Quit Word. Open Windows Explorer; copy the template to user’s startup folder for Microsoft Word. It will probably be C:\Documents and Settings\<user id/name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\Startup

Thanks for your help, I'll give that a go.
