Hi All,

Is there any tool by which you can able to know the minimum hardware requirement like Type of processor reqd,RAM,Hard-disk space etc of operating system as well as application software's like :- MS-Office, Visual basic & other's.

If you know then inform me else ask somebody & inform me asap.

Thanx

R3446,

There is no tool as such, there are just too many applications out there to create such a tool. But the general rule is this;

Always look for the "Recommended" requirements rather that the minimum, as the minimum is just too rediculous to contemplate. Then add up all the memory requirements for each application you intend to run at any one time, and you will have an approximate memory requirement for your PC.

As far as processor goes, that is up to your budget, and how much grunt you want out of your PC. Of course you would not run Windows 2000 on a 166MHz machine, so you have to use common sense here.

Later,
