Hi everyone!

I am trying to import a metafile (wmf) document, obtained from an autocad file. Freehand 10 recognized this format, but importing becomes impossible because of the announcement:"Could not complete the command because an object would be placed off of the pasteboard". I've tried to increase the dimm of the page, to decrease the original Autocad dimmensions, but still the announcement comes. I am quite new in Freehand...

Or, does exist another way to import AutoCad drawings in order to edit the vectors further in Freehand?

I will appreciate highly any help.
Thanks,
virgil

When freehand makes a new document, it puts the page near the bottom of the pasteboard. You could try moving the page to the upper left of the pasteboard so the placed file doesn't drop off the pasteboard.

Another possibility: when placing the image, click-hold in the upper left corner and drag to the lower right corner. Freehand will scale the imported file to fit.
