Too mmuch power for win98??

Has anyone been experiencing problems with unstability when using windows 98 on high spec pc's?

Recently we have had a few machines (p4 >2.6ghz, 512mb etc) which have been playing up on win98, but when upgraded to win xp have ran absolutely fine.

Anyone else found problems like this??

I've heard of fast CPU conflicts (> 2.4GHz), but haven't been able to officially confirm that. Definitely make sure the Win98 PC's are fully updated.

It may have to do with the amount of memory. As you approach 512MB and especially when you go beyond, many conflicts can start to occur. Read this FAQ for more info as well as some workarounds:
