Is there any way around in the wizard when trying to create a report. It says ive chosen too many fields, but i need them all.

THanks

skierm:

How may fields are you trying to add? I believe Access help says the limit on controls and sections is 754.

no its no where near that amount. At most 50.

Skierm:

I never use the wizard myself so I'm not sure what it could be -- maybe something flakey with the wizard.

Have you tried creating the form on your own without the wizard's assistance?

Create one report with the first 25 fields using the wizard and then create a second report with the other 25. Then cut and paste the controls from #2 into #1 into the same report sections. It also sounds like you may need to use Arial Narrow to display everything.

BattleDroid42:

If skierm is only trying to place 50 or so controls on a form it should not be a problem. I have one data entry form that has a bit over 100 controls. Sounds to me like there may be something flakey with the wizard. As I said, I have never used them (except the label wizard), so I don't have a point of reference.

When I need to fit a large number of controls on a form, I use the tab control to split them into logical groupings.

Provides a nice, easy to understand, interface for the user.
