Hi, I have a problem with the TOC in microsoft word.

From the TOC in my document, when I click on the heading, it is supposed to hyperlink to the page where that heading is, but nothing happened when I clicked on the link.

When my friends used the document, they have encountered no problem at all.

Do I need to enable something in microsoft word to enable the TOC hyperlinks?

Please advise.

Best Regards,
Dino

Do they actually show as hyperlinks? They have the tool tip "Ctrl + click to follow link"?

Likely, they're using 2000 and you're using a higher version.

As Gerry states, in 2002 and 2003, they decided to add the required Ctrl key to follow a hyperlink.

However, it IS a setting you can change so the Ctrl key isn't required. In 2003 (and prolly 2002 too) it's under Tools-Options, Edit tab.

Guys, thanks for the replies.

Hmm, I am using word 97, and the TOC is grayed out. I can't select it or click on it. On the top of the page, there is some coding with the word Hyperlink...
