My system has two hard disks and one dvd drive. Hard disk A has windows 2000 server running on it, and hard disk B contains only file. Now,I am seeking a proper way to replace the disk A with a new larger one, disk C.

My procedure is:
1)detach the dvd drive and attach disk C
2)use some kinds of image program to make a image of disk A to disk C
3)replace disk A with disk C.

I am not sure whether this works. Besides,I am worried that many image programs may not work in windows 2000 server.

So, I have an alternative way: detach disk A and attach it to another computer, which is not running win2K server. In this way, I hope those image programs could work.

Anyone could gimme some ideas?
Appreciate your kind help!
