When we use BCC to send bulk e-mail, the recipient won't be seeing other than itself in BCC. But, my question is, Is it possible to have the similiar way but in TO instead of BCC. Meaning, I send bulk of 100 but when the recipient receive it, their e-mail falls under TO and not BCC. Hope you guys understand here.

Thanks.

Actually, I am not spamming. The recipients are all our customer. But, we just want to look 'sincere'. Imagine the customer receive the e-mail as if we personally e-mail to them alone.

Really don't understand what you want to achieve...my guess is....you send out 100 e-mails using BCC....but when they receive the E-mail you want something like "All friends" for arguments sake in the TO ...or am barking up the wrong tree?

What I mean is the customer won't be seeing other email except himself like when we use bcc. But, using bcc, that recipient when he sees the TO:, it is not to him. Example, I am sending an e-mail to 10 customer and one of them is jacob@trade.com and i put my e-mail in TO:

TO: myself@tnt.com
BCC: jacob@trade.com, lee@mnetrade.com

When Jacob receive the email, can will see

TO: myself@tnt.com
BCC: jacob@trade.com

But, as I have mentioned, I wonder if there is any program or solutions to make Jacob see this (below) when he receives the e-mail even I am actually sending bulk e-mail.

TO: jacob@trade.com

See what you mean now, there must be a way because when I receive e-mail newsletters for Langa list for instance, the TO has my e-mail address.....and thousands of the same newsletter are sent out.

Same with this site when notified of answered thread,it has my e-mail address in the TO field, and the same E-mail is also sent to others.

Must be a Mass mailing configuration of some sort...perhaps Tec Tips admin might help?

This should do it.

When you create a group, you select the members you want in that
group. Then when you put the group in the To: section of your e-mail,
it goes out to each member of the group.

First, to create the group, open your address book and click on "New"
and then "New Group".

Type a name for your group, make it something that is short and easy
to remember.

Now it is time to add members to your group. Click the button that
says "Select Members".

Scroll down thru your list of contacts, and for each one that you want
to be a member of this group, click on the contact and then on the
"Select" button.

When you are finished selecting members, click "OK" and you are done
creating your group.

The Group may expand to fill the To: field will all the names.

Have you tried leaving the To: field blank?

IFR what would happen if the group was put in the BCC field?

If you put the group in the bcc field, it will expand and be just as if you typed all the addresses in yourself in the bcc field.

Does leaving the To: field blank help?

I just tested with Outlook 2002. I put in names into Bcc: only and each recipient only saw their name... in the To: field.

If the To: field is blank, some mail clients will work as philote said, and some will put <undisclosed recipients> in the To: field
