Hi guys

Another interesting, but quite irritating problem.
When copying data with windows clipboard, i always have to copy something twice before it works. I.e, when i copy from word for instance and paste into MS Excel, it pastes a little picture of a computer (My computer icon). When i again go back to where i'm copying the data from, and paste again in excel, it pastes fine. Note that i'm pasting data, not the whole document.

This is irritating because sometimes, you select something, press ctrl-c and then close the page , and then when you paste, it doesn't wanna paste. What can be the problem?

I think this is more a windows problem than office and thus i pasted it in this section.

Appears to be OK on Office 2K running on XPPro.

Is it similar to this?

Works: Cannot Paste Object from Clipboard into a Word 2000 Document

These sort of strange problems are sometimes cured by running a Registry Cleaner through the Registry.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
