Hi i have a ORA-12541:TNS:no listener when i open pl/sql,then i went to controlpanel->services and i turned on the ORacleOraHome90tnslistener but when im going to open the pl/sql again i receive a windows TNSLSNR.exe error and the service is back to disabled or stopped. How to resolve this?

Filipe,

Instead of using the Control Panel, try opening a Windows command prompt and issuing the commands:
Code:
C:\ lsnrctl
LSNRCTL> status

(if the listener appears to be down, then)

LSNRCTL> start
If there is a problem starting the listener, you should see related error messages following the "start" command.

Let us know your findings.

Yes if i do that the oracle listener stays opened but when i try to connect with pl/sql tells me:ORA-12500:TNS:the listener could not begin the process of dedicated server(translating) and a windows error TNSLSNR.exe open.I reinstalled oracle and it's the same.

Filipe,

Could you please copy and past your full screen session that shows your PL/SQL interaction (connection, code, et cetera) and the resulting error message?

Thanks,

I dont know how to insert pictures in this reply.

Filipe, I'm interested in just the text (not the "pictures"). To insert the text, you should be able to just

1) sweep the text you wish to copy from the screen
2) <cntrl-C> (to copy)
3) then with your cursor in your Tek-Tips-thread reply box, hit <cntrl-V> (to paste)

Also, what interface are you using to run your PL/SQL and receive the error?

But nothing is made with text i simply open the pl/sql and i receive the error described.

Filipe,

Are you possibly confusing SQL*Plus with PL/SQL? (Don't feel badly if you did...many people do.) I am asking because you say "i simply open the pl/sql and i receive the error described." I don't know what you mean by "opening PL/SQL". There is no standalone PL/SQL interface to Oracle.

Ni,i have a pl/sql program that interages with oracle and when i try to logon with user:scott and pass:tiger it appears that error.

Okay, in that case, let's confirm your connectability to Oracle with SQL*Plus. Can you successfully login/connect to Oracle using SQL*Plus?
