another thought. you may want to check the cross connect wiring. The 7406 4 wire uses the orange and green pairs, while 8400 series 2 wire digital only uses the blue pair.
I don't think it's a cross connect issue. Let me paint the picture a little clearer. I have a Definity G3V6 wired into my patch panel for testing phones, I also have 8 empty slots programmed for different circuit packs for testing purposes. My slots to my patch panel have TN754b-V4's in them. My empty slot is a general TN754b slot. If I take my V4 out and put it in my test slot , it works fine on the 7406 and brings up my line. When I put a V16 in, it won't pick up the line. When I do a status station with the V4 it says in service/on hook;when I stat st with the V16 it says disconnected. But if I put the V16 in my V4 slot it works fine. What am I missing???The strange part is I've tested them before in this slot and they worked fine!!!
It may conflict of circuit pack when you insert V16. Try command display circuit-pack to
check does your switch found new board or it show V16 as V4.
And check display alarm too.
1.Do you see the lights on LEDs anywhere on phone when new board inserted?
2.May be Definity wants absolutly removing translation from new slot before inserting the new board,
may be you have activated some features with old board (night, trunk-ns, hunt-ns ...) and conflict in this.
disconnect status w/ a 754 is usually a x-connect problem. check MDF's, IDF's, and evev the jack at station.everything should be straight thru. If you punch a jack straight off of the 110 or 66 block ( depending what you use) from your switch you would know if it is a witre problem or a tranlation problem.
