TN2198 BRI Setup Help

Need help in configuring TN2198 BRI ports to Interface with VC and Dial-up. Using DataModule 64000, SPID 249001 and 249102. Call from Voice number and it hangs up after two rings. Status shows Activated but nothing else listed under TEI. Anyone know of a KB on how to configure. Avaya instructions Non-Existant. Will supply Detailed info to thread on reply.

You can not call a BRI port from a voice port unless you have a BRI modem or device to convert. It must be bearer channel capable to talk. This card is for the NT single pair interface.

The calls are steered using BCC's at the trunk level. If you do not have BRI or PRI trunks in the system, you can not get out. You will only be able to dial BRI to BRI.

I spent two weeks getting video working. Avaya professional services will do the work if you need them to.

One thing that I learned the hard way and after a lot of guessing is that on the switch if your spid is 5551212 and you Endpnt ID is 01, then on your equipment you need to set the spid to 555121201.
