I have a 3.2 TM Server connected directly to a 61C ELAN Hub. I am unable to ping the 137.135.128.251 PBX PBX ELAN from the TM Server or from the PBX itself. In order for a Nortel Succession 3.0 61c PBX to ping itself, do I have to have a default route of 0.0.0.0 that sends the ping back to where? Or should I be doing adding something else to the mix. I am able to ping the 137.135.128.253 from both. I am able to Telnet from the ITG Cards from the TM Server. I am unable to Transmit from the OTM Server to the ITG Cards via ftp, so I believe I need to be able to ping 137.135.128.251 for starters. Thank you.

ID Hostname IP Address
1 PRIMARY_ENET 137.135.128.253
2 SECONDARY_ENET 137.135.128.254
3 LOCAL_PPP_IF 137.135.192.4
4 REMOTE_PPP_IF 100.1.1.1
5 PBXPRIMARY 137.135.128.251
6 PBXSECONDARY 137.135.128.252

Transmitting to ITG card has nothing to do with ELAN of PBX. The ITG card will have it's own network connections. If ITG card is a ITG trunk, it does not even have to be connected to the switch ELAN so maybe that might be your problem.

If you can ping the .253 then more than likely that's your active elnk and not the .251

in ld 117 prt elnk and it should tell you what the valid active and inactive elnk is.

I also hope that you mean "switch" instead of "hub". You really don't want to be using a "hub" (shared ethernet, everything broadcast to every port) on any connections.

Its a Baystack 60-12T Hub Nortel Networks Hub that was installed in new in late 2002, early 2003.

On my other systems, I can ping all of PBX ELAN Addresses.

Yes the active ELink is .253. I had made that change in TM under System Properties > Communications > ELAN IP Address which makes the Corporate Directory Push work to the system. However, it does not make the Transmit from TM to the ITG Trunk Cards work which uses FTP? The only other change I have made is updating the PBX Primary and Secondary Passwords a couple weeks back. I know that the Scheduled Tasks requires the password to be updated. The ITG Trunk Cards use itgadmin\itgadmin to login to them unless their is an issue with firmware\software on the ITG Trunk Cards and version 3.2 of OTM?

Thank you....

Can you Telnet to the ITG Trunk card? view card properties to see "Managment IP Address"

Is your TM server also setup as a FTP server?

I checked the FTP Settings earlier for the IP and Password. I will check it again. Yes, I can telnet to the cards. Thank you.

This is what I'm getting when trying to retreive:

Node is not completely retrieved.

Vender had origanlly setup the FTP Server using the TLAN IP. I'm not sure how it functioned before as they were able to pull in all the Nodes when it was setup. I have changed this to the ELAN Address of the TM server and that seems to have fixed the issue.
