TM lights on but no lines home

I have a customer who has in place:

Norstar 8x24 DR5
2 Station modules
2 Trunk modules
NAM VM 2.20
NAM ACD

The 2nd TM on port 7 was in place when I took on this customer but it has never had any working lines. They are adding new lines and TM 8 is full and working well. TM 7 has a CI card in place and is powered up. The Norstar does not see the TM, Module 7 is enabled but shows as unequipped. I suspect the TM or cord is bad. I have restarted, reinstalled, installed 2nd line card and moved to another port to try and get the Norstar to aquire the TM. No luck.

I wonder if anyone has any other ideas before I order another TM.

TRy exchanging the TM's. TRy awapping the DS30 cables.

I have tried another DS30 cable with no luck and the time available to test is limited so I had better have a spare on hand before I start.

Make sure in Maintenance that slot 1 in module 7 is configured to be a loop start card.

Actually on DR5 you will check under Lines programming to see how lines are configured. Slot 1 on module 7 will be lines 61-64. Make sure line type is loop for these 4 lines.

I have programmed the lines 21-24 (default is loop)and still nothing. It is unfortunate that this TM has been in place for so long and is defective when we need to use it.
