Hi all... We upgraded from OTM to the latest TM a few months ago... Just curious, what is the largest TM CDR database size? I used to keep two years worth before archiving... 01/01/2010 to 10/28/2010 i have 2,284,645 calls in the database and its not letting me cost any more i get error "database has reached maximum size"!? not even a whole year now? Is there a setting for database size, i didnt think so... if not what is the maximum size? :) (yea i know... 2,284,645 records)

Thanks!

I beleive the max size CDR MDBfile for each site before it starts to corrupt is around a Gig

Cheers!!

eek... looks like your right... our database is at 1 gig exactly.... Alright thanks..

WHY would you keep 2 years of data in play on that server? Do you have 20 tenants? Is this a law firm? Do you have problems with calls? Do you charge for calls? Do you pull records everyday? Just wondering... Large databases tend to slow down any server.

Well the database runs quick actually... The new TM vs OTM pulls reports in a few seconds, OTM with a large DB took a few mins... Its easier to trend things out the more data you have... I know i can pull the old stuff in.. but this has always worked.. Well in the past...

We are a newspaper, we do bill out calls we take for other orginizations, we auto run reports nightly. We do trunk side call recording that crosses with the CDR data in OTM. But all of that said, i dont NEED 2 years in there, it just becomes more work for me.. After I cleaned things up, looks like 6 months of calls is a little under 2 million calls/records. Which is about right, +-320,000 calls/month.

Good idea to compact each MDBfile size once 'Archived'
which you can select from 'Utilities' option from that site
to allow you to select

Cheers!!

riddle me this batman.... So i archived my year and a half down to 6 months and the MDB size is exactly the same? yet when i go to VIEW DATABASE there are indeed only 6 months of records? the gig MDB file is the active database, so im not looking at an old one or anything.

Yep hence my 'compact' suggestion...Did you do this

Cheers!!

I've found a re-start on the TM server is another way

Cheers!!
