What will happen if the certificates expired? Does it loses the connection?

not immediately - it's only used to establish a handshake - so if the handshake is made, it keeps going. First time the socket drops/restart a service or whatever, then yes, it's dead.

Thanks to this kyle! Maybe I should go for tcp connection haha. I will be worried if I turnover this project to the client.
