I just started to write my diploma. A task of it is to write servlets, jsp and things like that. At my firm the Tivoli Suite should be used and I came across some classes where I wonder if I need them, because java itself is doing pretty much the same. It is about the classes to make transaction on a database system.
The advantage seems to be 'only' the performance. Are the timesavings really so pregnant?
I now wanted to start a thread about pros and cons of the Tivoli transaction classes.
