Hi All,

We are using NTP to configure the time on our servers throughout the European region. I would like to know where i can find a list of Timezones and regions for the world.

When build a server in a small countrywe have sometimes got it wrong during the install process!! Is there a way to work backwards to find out what timezone a server is in after the server has been installed?

Thanks in advance

James

There is a list of "timezone data files" in /usr/share/lib/zoneinfo. (On Solaris 8)

The file /etc/default/init contains the variable TZ which is set to the timezone of the system. (On Solaris 8)

Also a lot of info can be found from Google. (Try searching for: "solaris 8" + timezone )

I hope that helps.

Mike
