Timeout and SecuRemote

I have two problems with my server farm. The farm consists of two MetaFrameXP SP3 servers, FR3 on both. They are behind a CheckPoint SecuRemote firewall. The clients authenticate to the fireawll with a SecuRemote client.

Problem 1: How can I increase the timeout on initializing a citrix connection to allow users 30 seconds or so before the client quits trying to connect? I have users who are timing out before they can get authenticated to the firewall. They can open the published app successfully by retrying once they get authenticated to the firewall, but I would like them to not have to do that.

Problem 2: In one remote office, most users lose connectivity to Citrix several times a day, although they share a high speed connection to the Internet. After they drop off, they can reconnect to their Citrix session, but this is a big nuisance. Are there any settings I can modify to make an ICA connection more tolerant of an unstable connection to the Citrix server? Or is there anything specific between Citrix and CheckPoint?
