Hello. I have two servers in Mexico exhibiting the following behavior. I originally set them to MEX6 time zone WITHOUT daylight savings time and I found that this didn't give me the right time on the server/workstations. So I changed it to U.S. central time CST6CDT and put the standard start/end times for daylight saving into the system via Monitor/Server Parameters/Time. All is okay on the time then until I reboot.

When I reboot the server, it goes back to MEX6 time and no daylight saving parameters. Am I missing something on making these settings permanent? Is there a file I need to edit manually???

Your help appreciated,

You might have the time zone set in the Autoexec.ncf file. That is pretty common since Novell changes their mind quite a bit about where they want this info stored.

Thanks. You know I figured it out right after I posted my thread. I don't know why I didn't check it there. I guess I've never changed a time zone after the server was loaded - which makes sense if you do it right the first time!!! Thanks for your answer.
