I am using Microsoft Operations Manager to monitor a test domain and every day I get the error "Time Service Error" or "Time Service Warning". I have followed the instructions included in mom to solve this problem but it has not worked. I typed in "net time /setsntp:<server name>". In <server name> i put the name of my DNS server. I thought that this worked but apparently it did not. CAn someone please explain exactly what the problme is and how I can fix it.

Thank You.

You use that command on the PDC operations master server only. All the other clients will see it. You use a real ip address of a time server such as the naval observatory. After doing this, restart the windowstime process.

Microsoft Q article Q216734 will get you all straightened out.
