Where can i find a working time server to sync my Windows 2000 server with and how will i do this?
I tried with a command like this that is supposed to work:
net time /setsntp:ntp2.usno.navy.mil

Nope, i got a successful answer but the time didnt change , and my server is five minutes ahead of time.

I i change it manually , what will happen to my clients?

Do you have any errors or warnings in your event viewer? Possibly from W32Time.

Yes , One possible problem might be that this company only got one DC. I new here so i havnt had the time yet to set up another one.
This is the Error:

Because of repeated network problems, the time service has not been able to find a domain controller to synchronize with for a long time. To reduce network traffic, the time service will wait 960 minutes before trying again. No synchronization will take place during this interval, even if network connectivity is restored. Accumulated time errors may cause certain network operations to fail. To tell the time service that network connectivity has been restored and that it should resynchronize, execute "w32tm /s" from the command line.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

This error suggests you are unable to connect to your external time server (ntp2.usno.navy.mil). Make sure you have connectivity to that server (try pinging it) or try using a different server.

I use
tick.usno.navy.mil
tock.usno.navy.mil

also make sure that the time service is running.

Will my clock adjust to Us time or to my Greenwich +1 time?

All time codes are GMT, UTC, Zulu. System settings make the change.
