Hi all,

I have a client with a very basic programming for AA and voicemail. I have 3 AA's setup; Day ,Night and Holiday. Main HG has Fallback of OOS to Holiday HG which has a user forwarded to the Holiday AA. It also has a Fallback of NS to a Night HG which has a user forwarded to the Night AA. I have given the Front Desk manual activation in the form of a "set HG OOS" button and "set HG NS" button.

For this client I have also setup a Time Schedule for Mon-Fri 8am-6pm and another Time schedule for Sat 11am-3pm. I have assigned these schedules in the ICR and pointed them to HG200. The default setting (all other times outside the ones mentioned) goes to the Night AA.

Everything works perfectly. The problem comes when they want to close for a holiday or unexpected closing. When they activate the "set HG OOS" button (which uses the Holiday AA) it doesn't work.

After some research it looks like the Time Profile I set up in the ICR takes precedence over everything else. Is there a way to have a manual Holiday/Night override but still have the Day & Night AA activate automatically on assigned times?

Thanks
Derek

Yes. Upgrade to R9.1 and this is possible.

I just installed this a week ago. Do I need to purchase the upgrade license or can I just upgrade to 9.1?

You need the upgrade license if you've made a call.

Holdmusic is correct if you have made a call you will need an upgrade licence
if you have IPOSS you should be able to get one FOC

If not I suggest you have stern words with your BP/installer & ask why not I would also ask they were not using the current release of firmware

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Thanks guys. Is there a work around for what I'm trying o achieve?

If your time profile sends calls to a HG and you set it out of service then it should go to the fallback group.
Test by calling your HG when it is OOS internally. If it doesn't work then there is another issue with the setup.

I have similar setups and just cascade auto attendants to create a disk string to get to a shortcode that doors the same as the button would do.

i was installing a 9.0.4 ip office recently.
The night profile when used with the ICR route will override and Fallback OOS & NOOS profile used by manul buttons on the User phone.

This was one of the request my customer had as they wanted the NIGHT ICR to go to the Night Mailbox.
They wanted any Manual button OOS controls to be overwritten by the automattic night service.
This suited me.

But as stated there were some test already done on 9.1 by a MPV who has this on a thread.

Westi....When you say "If your time profile sends calls to a HG and you set it out of service then it should go to the fallback group" are you talking about the Fallback group under Hunt Group programming or under ICR Programming?

Currently under ICR settings, I have assigned a time profile to go to HG Main with NO setting under Fallback Extension.
Under the Main HG Fallback settings I have OOS going to a Holiday HG and the NS going to a Night HG.

Is there anyway or a roundabout way that I can achieve automatic and manual activation without upgrading to 9.1?

Create two shortcodes like
*99/"AA:FirstAA"/AutoAttendant/0
*98/"AA:SecondAA"/AutoAttendant/0

Create 2 users UsrAA1 and UsrAA2 and set unconditional forward to *99 and *98.
Create two sequential groups, GrpAA1 and GrpAA2 and add UsrAA1 in GrpAA1 and add UsrAA2 in GrpAA2.

Creat a third sequential group AASelect and put UsrAA1 as the only member, set GrpAA2 as the OutOfService destination and set grpAA2 as the Night Service destinantion.
Create a time table and add it to group AASelect.

In the Incoming call Route set group AASelect as the destination.
Within the time profiel calls go to AA1, out of hours the calls gor to AA2.
Create two shortcodes to enable/disable OOS of group AASelect.

Now when group AASelect is InService the calls go to AA1, when the group is in Night Service calls go to AA2, this is normal daily operation.
If to close early then they can put the group AASelect in Out Of Service and the calls go to AA2."

Thanks intrigant. This looks very similar to what I already have programmed. The only difference I see is I'm using the Main HG and not AASelect. Functionally they seem identical. Is there a specific difference that would cause the way I have it programmed now not to work?

I don't know, there are many roads leading to Rome we say and none of them is bad(why go to Rome anyway, Amstedam is a lot more fun).
If you have a solution which does the job then it is OK isn't it? I just gave a example on how it can be done but I can think of more ways to get the same result.

Hey intrigant. I just wanted to say thanks. I programmed using your solution and it worked perfectly. The biggest difference was putting the time profile in the hunt group and not in the ICR. That seemed to do the trick. Thanks again.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it and nice for you it works as desired.

Perfect solution - No pink?
Have some [smile]

Kind regards
