We have two Timberwolf 9730 libraries and have recently noticed that there is an odd difference between the two. In 'Fast Load' mode one will read our barcode labels and assign tapes the proper serial number based on the label. The other will ignore the label and assign a 'default' serial number at the time of use of the tape.
We initially thought it was a camera issue, but we did a test and found that if the tape was being reused the machine that would usually ignore the label would then accept the label and display it properly in 'Fast Load' mode.
I was wondering if anyone has had this issue before with these machines and might know of a solution.
