Tif extensions

For some reason outlook would not open .tif extension files.

I am using outlook 2003 and I receive faxes to my mailbox in the form of .tif files.

Every time I try to open I get an error that outlook could not open the file and I should check the permissions on the folder.
When I make sure I have permissions (admin) I get a simple message that outlook could not save the file.
I can open other attachment without any problems (Pdf, Jpg) and I can open the .tif attachment using our OWA.

....Any ideas???

If you save the .tif file to your desktop can you open it? This sounds more like a file association problem than a problem with Outlook.

It would not save the file....
I have no problems opening .tif files from my computer..
it only happens as an outlook attachment...
