I am running a Nortel 81C at 1 location and have a Tie line to another faciltiy which houses a Nortel 11C. We lost the connection between the two yesterday and I was able to bring the Tie line up- kept getting DTI 022 2 error. I have Red lights on my PRI cards on the 81C and cannot dial into the switch thru ProComm Plus- all I get are * signs when I type

is someone in it besides you trying to bring up that loop with it already enabled??

and it is still disabled on both ends

DTI0022 x
Loop/Card x is already enabled.

Severity: Info

Then it must be enabled, but down, and is being enll instead of disl, then enll. Both ends need a bounce at the sametime, but I see you have bigger problems if you can't get on a TTY...

yes, very big problems!! anyone in the Waukegan area want to come over and help out??? JK

Just wondering how you got these errors if you cant log into the PBX???

You need to try another TTY port on the 81c, or try to connect directly to the back of the active CORE on J25.

Once you connect:

LD 96
DIS DCH X

LD 60

DISL X

SLFT X

ENLL X

LD 96

STAT DCH X

X=loop/dch #

Also note that sometimes you need to bring both sides of the T1 up at the same time. You will want to be logged into both at once or have someone else login to the other side.

That was the error I was getting prior to loosing connectivity and I am still getting when I log into my remote site

M1North- I tried that yesterday- and it would not work at all

OK, is the remote site completely down? Maybe the OPTION 11 is locked up and requires a man init...or the modem is messed and needs replacing?

Either way, you need to be able to login to both sides first before you go any further. THe 11 has 3 TTY cables so one of them should work onsite.

The last time I had a bad TTY on an 81 I had to re-seat the paddle board on the back. ALso when J25 port wasnt responding I had to ini the active core.

Sounds like the issue is your remote site (opt11). You may need to get out there and log in locally and check it out. IF you cant login then hit the man init. Could be a bad DCH card on the PRI locking up.

I would open a ticket and have the carrier verify the T1 on both ends while your on your way there.
