Hi. I have perhaps a dozen pictures that I'd like to put up. I'd like to have a page on which appears a dozen neatly spaced thumbnails all the same size and then get to the pix by clicking on the thumbnail.

I've put a pix on the page, gone into the make thumbnail thing, specified a default size for them, and then tried to make them but they still come out all different sizes. in the interim, I've just loaded up the pix on same page but it takes FOREVER to load.

I'm THINKING what I need to do is make a table like 3 across and 4 down or whatever and then put a thumnail in each cell but I need to get thumbnail size same.

suggestions??? some of the large pix are at

Are yours pics all the same size? It has been my experience that the thumbnail in created in size and resolution in proportion to the origional. The table works, that is what I usually do.

hi. perhaps that's the problem. the origs. are all different as they vary from a pix on an entire soccer team to that of a single individual.

suggestions??

Man those files are huge. I'm on a T1 and it still took about a minute to load.

Ok, if I'm understanding you correctly this is what you want. You need to open your favorite graphics program (photoshop, illustrator, or just good 'ol paint) and reduce the pictures. Figure out how small you want them, like if you want them 20% of the original size.

Then open each picture individually, shrink it, save it as whatever.jpg (just make sure it's not the same as your big one) and then make a table, put all your pics in the table.

Now you might not want to do this, but you need to. You need to actually go into a graphics program and resize the pictures. Why? If you don't, and you just put in the pictures and put the codes HEIGHT="smallersize" WIDTH="smallersize", you're still loading the entire file! So it will still take FOREVER on a modem.

Hope this makes sense. If not and I can get really specific and do a good step-by-step. ~Javrix

A broken clock is correct twice per day.

A roomful of monkeys on typwriters will eventually write the great american novel.

If you gave an infinate number of rednecks, an infinate number of shotguns to shoot at an infinate number of street signs, they'd eventually recreate all of Shakespears works in braile.

Try ACDsee program.

He does all these things for you!!!!!!
