THUMBNAILS PROBLEM

What file did you delete? You're referring to the previews to the left of the file list? Try this. Click start--run--then type in or copy and paste this line into the box and hit enter:
regsvr32 %windir%\system\thumbvw.dll
See if they're back. If not download #6 from this link. Unzip it and place the reg file into any folder then doubleclick on it and merge it.
By the way, to get the previews you need to select 'as web page' under View in Windows Explorer. See if it's unchecked.
