Having problems with IPOFFICE-139842 Outlook Plugin - Unable to transfer a call using the target user name?

This applies to all release 10.1 verions and to release 11 although Avaya claims to haveit solvedin R 10.1SP3.

It is partially, the problem is still therebut it is not consistent, for some users it works and for others it does not.

SO, I have investigated this today and found a workaround.
In R10.1SP1&SP2&R11 the outlook plugin dails the extension number AND username when a name is used for a transfer, in R10.1SP3 only Citrix users experience this problem.

What to do?
Add for each extension a shortcode, this customer has a range of users from 2001 upto 2099 so i added shortcodes like this:

SC = 2xxxN, TN = 2xxx, Action = Dial Extension, Line ID=0

You can create a range in excel and save it as "Short Codes.csv", the list looks like this:

2001N,2001,Dial Extension,0,89
2002N,2002,Dial Extension,0,89
etc. upto
2099N,2099,Dial Extension,0,89

The 89 is the internal code for "Dial Extension" and is mandatory in the list.
Easiest is to create one shortcode in Manager, export the shortcodes as CSV, delete all codes except the one created and open it in Excel, extend the range and save the file as .csv.

That can be imported in IP Office Manager.

Job done! Up to the next bug!
