Hello,
I know the answer to this question is somewhere under my nose, but it has taken me to long to find it.

I have a domain name pointed to my static IP address and IIS produces the "This site is under construction" message as oppose to the

Under Construction
The site you were trying to reach does not currently have a default page. It may be in the process of being upgraded.

Please try this site again later. If you still experience the problem, try contacting the Web site administrator.

Can someone tell me what it is that I am overlooking.

I have learned since the last post that IIS did not like me using index.asp. It would accept default.asp.

Can anyone explain?
 
What are the default document names used? Check the web site properties under the "Documents" tab. "index.asp" probably isn't there, but you could add it if you like.
