I was having serious trouble suddenly in IE6 loading simple pages. For instance, my home page, which is MSN, would take nearly a full minute before loading. It would get hung up, and then finally it would allow me to browse or type in the address bar. Very annoying.

According to another post on here, I found that if I go to the Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and then UNCHECK "allow third party extensions" it would prove whether it is another extension causing the problem. Well, I disabled that feature and wallah! it is working fine now.

My question is, how do I find out which extension is causing this terrible hang up in IE? Is there a way to find it and get rid of it so that I can browse again normally WITH the third party extension enabled?

You could try using a program such as BHO Demon, SpyBot S&D, or HiJackThis (do a LOG and paste it here or do an online analysis at )...

Hope this is of help...
