Thinking of Upgrading from 8.2 to lastest.. Thoughts ?

Upgrading is a good thing to do, but have you considered migration to S8700?

I was in the same position as you about a month ago. I chose to go with the upgrade to R11. At one time, I was all for the latest greatest. I when through software upgrade to the next, and then bug fix software (go debugger). I am planning on going to the G8700 servers within the next 3 to 4 years. This should give them the time to have these tested and most of the bugs worked out before I get there. I know there are some of these in place now, but look at the problems that are associated with these just on this forum. Just my opinion.
