Theme Service

Hi all

Have been running XP Pro without any problems until a few weeks ago. Now everytime I turn it on the Theme Service has not started. I can manually start it and it'll work fine for a while but then it'll just turn itself off again and revert back to the Win 98 theme.

I have uninstalled a couple of bits of software that I though might be causing it but to no effect.

Any ideas?

Sounds as if uxtheme.dll is corrupted.

Start, Run, sfc /Scannow

Have your XP CD handy.
