Hey Folks,
Maybe an "out their" question, or possibly wait til Monday to speak to supplier. I ran across this loud ringer that a customer purchased at an earlier date but never installed. He states he never received the wiring schematic for it. The supplier is Norelco out in Mississauga,ON as their sticker is on it.
It came with a power supply and I want to connect it to the AUX RINGER port of their CICS. He'd like to have it ring on two conditions, when Line 1 rings and when ext 233 is called. It has a 110 connection to it, colors being green pair, orange, and white (in that order). Does anyone know the wiring scheme?
Thanks,

Thanks bkrike..
I checked their too...however it doesn't specify color scheme, I did fiddle with it a bit but I'll wait to contact them Monday...I wouldn't want to blow the power supply or something...
Cheers

do u mean one pair should always be shorted?
could be right...I think i'll post my findings..my custmer will be gone for a week but i'll keep u posted

The Norstar system provides a normaly open set of contacts so the bell would ring with the ringing cycle.
If you short a pair of the wires the bell should operate. If you shorted it all the time the bell would ring all the time...
Just make sure the 110vac is not coming out on a pair of leads, could be disaster! There should be a relay of some sort there to separate the 110 from the phone system. Be careful you do not put the 110 back to the Norstar system!!!
Good luck...

The NTL600 can be hooked up on dry contact with an external NTL0725 or directly on telco C.O. line for external loud ringing.

Looks like you need a second piece of equipment(NTL0725) to make the dry contacts work.
