The network connection to the Backup Exec Remote Agent has been lost.

BE 10d on a 2000 DC. Running a LOCAL backup (Remote Agent installed but not used for the backup yet).

Nearly every time I run a backup, the Remote Agent service stops for no reason, and despite the fact that it isn't even used for the backup I am running, the backup just stalls at this point and never does anything else.

Backing up to disk.

Any ideas?

Local backup always using the remote agent service. Have you check the application/system log for Dr Watson error to see whay the remote agent stops?

Unfortunately the OS is Simplified Chinese... Have to get a translation.
