I tried to run a database I've been working on (resides on server) from a workstation. WIN2K sp4 MSAccess97

When running a macro I get " The Funtion you entered can't be used in this expression" You may have used Doevents, Lbound etc......

The actual functions were Ucase, Len, StrConv etc. Works fine running on server or via Terminal services.

I have another database app running fine located on this local machine.

A quick search found a reference to install the latest MDAC. No effect.

Any Clues ??

Have you checked your references to see if any are marked MISSING? Missing references can have odd effects,

Remou,
I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by references ?

You will find them under Tools on the menubar of a code window: references to various libraries used by your application.

Oh I checked this and you are right. I have an activeX barcode control in this database and lo and behold it is marked as missing. (Not installed on this machine)

You learn something every day. I'm not trained in VB so I work mostly with macros and don't do much coding. Good work thank you.
