Hi,

I am using Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000 (as part of Microsoft's Office 2000)

When I try to open any attachment (picture or forwarded email), I receive this error: The form required to view this message cannot be displayed – contact your administrator.

All the other computers here at work using Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000 can open the attachment if I forward them the email and I can’t see any differences in any of the settings that I check.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks much,

Fabio

The only suggestion I can think of is to open Windows Explorer and select Tools-->Folder Options, then click on the the File Types tab page and see if the extension (of the file type Outlook is trying to open), is registered with an application.

For example: If I try to open a file named newpic.jpg, and no application is registered to open a "jpg" file, then I would see this message, or a similiar type message.

You may just have an "adventurous" user that deleted a few file extensions that they shouldn't have.
