The folder "Program" opens whan windows does!

I know this must be old news and i have known how to get rid of it but...

every time windows starts the folder "Programs" open...
i want to get rid of it!

HOW DO U DO???

Run msconfig and check under the Startup tab for something referring to Explorer.

You might also want to check the Registry (regedit) under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

...for something similar.

Look in your Startup folder on the start menu.

No...its not in autostart...

Is the folder named Programs, Program, or Program Files? If it's Program or Programs and NOT Program Files is this folder in the root directory under C: and what's in that folder. If it's in the root directory then you need to if possible either move it out of the root or rename it to something else. Try that and see if that keeps it from appearing at startup.

oh kento...I have the swedish verison...it SHOULD be program files...

Try to disable one program at a time from the startup in MSCONFIG. Probably, there is one program, somehow refering to the folder , which cannot start.

Ok...i KNOW i saw an article in some computer magazine but i cant find it! (i understand now exactly how many i have...TOO MANY!)

it said something about deleting a line in a file that determines what programs that should start at startup...i dont remember name..
