Hello all,

Ive just put a new 60gb maxtor harddrive into a pc which had windows 98 installed. At the beginning of setup where it ciopes the files to your harddrive for setup, it comes up with.

'the files 'file_name (changes each time) was not copied properly.

The file setup placed on your HD is not a valid windows xp system image.

It is a original disk and setuop runs fine when the HD is in another computer. Ive checked everytrhing and it always comes up with this error whenever it is in this machine, which isnt realkly new. it is a p3 500.

Any help would be great cause i need to get this machine working.

Best Regards
James
