The end of support for Windows 98

Yeah, quite disappointing, I personally still like having the old DOS behind the scenes. I guess I am just old school and not willing to accept change but for the most part I would say that Windows 98SE was the most stable version of Windows that had a true DOS running in the background.

I think more great things and improvements could have been accomplished on an OS like Windows 98SE, but I also see that any company in development has to keep trying to move forward and do new stuff so they can soak the rest of the public out of more cash. [smiley]

I have Windows 98 and 98SE on a few of my PC's in my basement LAN and don't forsee an end for them as I have started amassing all the 98 patches to be archived to both CD and tape backup for use past the 2006 date of windows update availability.

Cheers!
