A friend at uni mentioned that Linus was actually developing a chip called crusoe. has anyone actually heard about this?
What could this mean if a chip was designed to cater for the linux kernel
Chris Packham
kriz@i4free.co.nz

A thousand mokeys at a thousand machines, it happened, it got called the internet.

From what I've heard of this chip, it isn't being built specifically for Linux. It is a chip that can emulate other chips and uses less power than a conventional chip making it ideal for laptops.

they have been working on it for year they hired Linus to write some of the software that runs the chip So long and thanks for all the fish.
