The content index meta data is corrupt

I have a Knowledge Base on my Exchange server that is not able to "search". I get the message Error" The content index meta data is corrupt"
We have re-indexed a number of times, and this seems to work for only a couple of searches, then we are right back to being unable to search.
SP6A is installed. If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.
